
A longtime resident of Kansas City, Michael “Mike” D. Schoenfeldt has a wealth of experience in logistics, operations, and leadership, having served as an officer in the United States Army for more than 20 years. He works as an inventory controller at Kellogg’s KC Bakery, using his warehouse and distribution skills to manage the warehouse, supporting the making of Kellogg’s delicious and sought-after brands. Outside of his profession, Michael D. Schoenfeldt enjoys attending KU football games and keeping up with the team’s progress.
Kansas Jayhawks Football head coach Lance Leipold announced the addition of 13 players to the team on January 24, 2023. The added players participated in 250 career games before joining the Jayhawks. Twelve of the players joined through Division 1 programs.
The 13 rookies are contemporarily enrolled at the University of Kansas for the 2023 spring semester. Six players were added to the defensive side of the ball. These include defensive end Patrick Joyner Jr. (Utah State), defensive tackle Gage Keys (Minnesota), linebacker JB Brown (Bowling Green), and cornerback Damarius McGhee (LSU).
On the offensive side, three rookies – Spencer Lovell (Cal), Hunter Barlow (Hutchinson CC), and Logan Brown (Wisconsin) – will line up on the line of scrimmage. Running back Dylan McDuffie (Georgia Tech) and tight end Max Muehlberger (Oklahoma State) will also play on the offensive side.
